Bandage Concept

Registered studios and teaching instructors are entitled to offer and implement the exclusive TaeBo® bandage concept for studio clients.

This concept allows the qualification of participants and trainers to be identified by the different colors of the hand bandages – a concept similar to karate belts.

For this purpose, trained TaeBo® instructors have to offer upgrading workshops and examinations free of charge for the participating studio clients in registered studios.

This system was introduced to allow the differentiation of trainers and participants concerning their qualification.

In addition, "updating” is an essential tool for motivating trained instructors and studio clients.

1. Upgrading for studio clients

Upgrading for studio clients can be acquired by participating in a 1-day technical workshop ending with an examination.
The workshops are held by trained Tae Bo instructors in accordance with the respective qualification.

We differentiate between the following upgradings:

White Bandages
• for all participants and beginners

Yellow Bandages

• first upgrade
• technical workshop offered by instructors having completed an IFAA GmbH basic training
   (wearers of blue bandages)

Orange Bandages

• second upgrade
• participation in another technical workshop, offered by a basic instructor trained at the IFAA GmbH
   (wearer of blue bandages)
• Only wearers of yellow bandages are allowed to take part.

Green Bandages

• third upgrade
• preliminary stage for taking up the IFAA GmbH instructor training
• participation in a technical workshop offered by advanced or master instructors of the IFAA GmbH
• for wearers of orange bandages only

2. Training courses for trainers / Upgrading for instructors

Training courses for trainers are generally concluded by a 1- or 2-day final examination in theory and practice which is an essential prerequisite for the certification and, therefore, for the upgrading. Participants must be present during the whole training course and they must take the examination.

We differentiate between the following upgradings:

Blue Bandages
• first trainer upgrade
• for participants of the 8-day basic training course
• The course is run by IFAA GmbH experts.
• Successful completion of the 2-day theory and practice examination
• Once they have passed this examination, these trainers can offer classes in fitness clubs and hold
examinations for yellow and orange bandages.

by the IFAA GmbH during the 24 months after the examination was passed:
   - at least two 1-day workshops and two workshops lasting at least three (3) hours (convention workshops)
   - or another Tae Bo training course.

Red Bandages
• second trainer upgrade
• for participants of the 8-day advanced training course
• The training is run by IFAA GmbH experts.
• The training is concluded by a 2-day final examination.
• Once they have passed the examination, these trainers can offer advanced classes in
fitness clubs and are allowed to hold examinations for yellow and orange bandages.
• In order to keep his/her trainer license, the trainer has to take part in the following further training courses offered
by the IFAA GmbH: during the 24 months after the examination was passed:
   - at least two 1-day workshops and two workshops lasting at least three (3) hours (convention workshops)
   - or another Tae Bo training course
• Participation is allowed only for trainers who have successfully completed the basic
training course and who have at least six (6) months of teaching experience.

Black Bandages

• third trainer upgrade
• The training is run by IFAA GmbH master experts.
• The training is concluded by a 1- or 2-day final examination.
• Once hey have passed the examination and have received a written consent from IFAA GmbH,
these trainers can offer master classes at conventions and are allowed to hold all upgrade examinations
   for studio clients.

in the course of 24 months after having passed the examination.
