General Terms and Conditions of IFAA GmbH

§ 1 Applications
Applications for participation in courses organized by IFAA have to be submitted by mail, fax or e-mail. Participants are advised to sign up early because the number of participants for all courses is limited. Applications will be processed in the order of their arrival. The date on which we receive your registration form will determine who participates in the course. Under no circumstances will inquiries or reservations by telephone be considered applications.

§ 2 Fees
The course fee must be paid 14 days prior to the start of the course; the date on which the payment is credited to the bank account is decisive. In case the course fee has not been paid at the start of the course, IFAA reserves the right to exclude the participant from the course. Payment by installments is permitted only by way of exception and requires a written agreement with the IFAA managing director or his/her deputy. The course fees include the fees for written materials, the examination and the certificate. The charge for re-examinations is € 52.00 (plus 16 % VAT). The issue of additional certificates will cost € 10.00 each. The fee for making payment in installments is € 16.00.

§ 3 Cancellation
In the event that participation in a booked workshop or training course is cancelled, the following provisions will be applied:
• Up to 28 days prior to the course, a processing fee of € 15.00 will be charged.
• 27 – 14 days prior to the course, 30 % of the course fee will be charged.
• Less than 13 days prior to the course, 50 % of the course fee will be charged.
• It is not possible to cancel participation once the course commences. The total course fee is due at this time.

If the participant is prevented from attending the course due to illness or pregnancy, IFAA must be informed as soon as possible. If a doctor’s certificate is submitted, the course fee will be credited, minus a processing fee of € 26.00. In any case, cancellations must be submitted in writing. There will be no reimbursement of fees already paid for course days not attended after the course has started. In the event of an illness, the participant has the possibility to make up any days missed during training or further education later on. If persons participating in a course for which a license is issued fall ill before 1/4 of the course is completed, the course fee will be credited.

§ 4 Liability
Liability for personal injury and property damage at IFAA events is excluded in accordance with the statutory provisions. Participation in the events is at the participant’s own risk.

§ 5 General Provisions

1. The invoice that the person making the booking will receive no later than three weeks prior to the start of the course shall serve as a booking confirmation. Under no circumstances is IFAA liable for forwarding route descriptions, changes of course times and venues, especially not in cases where the person who made the booking and the participant are not identical.

2. IFAA reserves the express right to cancel events/courses for important reasons without offering a replacement. Participants will be informed in time and the course fees will be credited.

3. IFAA reserves the right to change a program at any time.

4. Course materials will be handed out at the beginning of the course. Participants are herewith expressly informed that the copyright for all publications belongs to IFAA and that the reproduction or disclosure of these publications to third parties must be authorized by the IFAA management. Violations will be subject to fines of up to € 2,600.00.

5. Unless stated otherwise, the course language is German. Material in English – if available – may be requested from IFAA by paying a fee of € 26.00.

6. For administrative reasons, vouchers can not be paid out in cash.

7. By agreeing to these General Terms and Conditions, participants consent to the public dissemination of photos taken or video recordings made during the IFAA event/course. Participants forfeit any claims arising from such photographs and/or films.

8. IFAA will acknowledge training courses organized by other academies and schools at its own discretion. If graduates of non-IFAA courses enroll in IFAA courses, it is the IFAA curriculum that will be decisive for final examinations. If participants in IFAA training courses omit, on their own authority, training units which they have already completed at another school, under no circumstances will this entitle them to a reduction in the course fees.

9. If any of these provisions prove to be unenforceable, this shall not affect the remaining provisions.

10. The venue for the adjudication of all disputes arising in connection with these General Terms and Conditions shall be the competent court for IFAA, which is Amtsgericht (Local Court of) Schwetzingen. These General Terms and Conditions are governed by German law.

11. We reserve the right to make changes in prices or dates.
